hi. my bios corrupted after a bad flash. it's an ecs p4m800-m7 rev.3.1. if the boot block is corrupted, does the cpu fan spin up and the drives start? there is no POST though. if the bios' boot block is corrupted, will the system spin up? will there be possibility to recover without ordering a replacement bios chip?

Can u reset the BIOS?
Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.

yeah. i tried, but no success. looks like i'll have to get my bios chip reprogrammed :(

you can try this
www.biosman.com/biosrecovery.html
if boot block is damaged then you cannot recover your bios, and keboard light will not light up (for split second)
