friends ,i am having intel dg31pr ,when i run gpu z it shows the graphic card runs at pcie-x16 1.1 ,but in intel website it is showing it has gen 2.0 pci,(ark.intel.com/products/50375/Intel-Desktop-Board-DG31PR),so i updated my motherboard bios but now also it is showing gen 1.1 in gpuz,i want to buy HIS amd 6670 it has gen 2.1 and gddr5 ,my pc specs is c2d e7400 @2.8ghz,4gb ddr2 ram,and power supply is 450w(it is a local product so consider it since it ratings may vary),and also tell me wheather graphic card dimensions fits on my motherboard,i am confused about this topic over one month so plz help me :(

From Intel site your motherboard have one PCIe x16 but is not specified if is 1.1 or 2.0. That video card 6670 is PCIe 2.1 and will work with your motherboard because PCIe 2.0 and 2.1 are backward compatible with 1.1.

Old G31 motherboard is almost certainly PCIe 1.1.
