Recently, upgraded form 4gb to 8gb ram only to find myself in more worries. Things to note

- Running windows 7 [64 bit]
- Updated bios
- Memory remap on
- Max memory is unticked under msconfig

Motherboard- Asus p7p55D-E Lx Intel p55 (Socket 1156)

What type of RAM and Which MB model #. Do you hear any odd beeps with booting?

Old ram (4gb) still working- Corsair XmS3 4b 2*2gb DDr 10666c8 1333mhz Dual channel

Noticed they're running at different latency's would I have to manual change them to the same and if so how?

Hi im dil teli,
i think you should try and go into bios and enable memory remap and check msconfig/boot/advanced and check max memory is set to 8gb. Other than that i dont know what else would be wrong. Try reseating the memory sticks and cpu. Also there will be a memok button on the motherboard try pressinf that aswell. If those dont work then i am unsure just send the pc back to whoever the manufacturer is unless you were a noob and built it yourself or with a help of a friend and now have no idea what to do lool. Please reply to let myself and others who may post on this forum if my solutions helped or not so they dont have to repeat anything i have mentioned. Good luck in fixing the problem bro

Thank you for the reply, and your advice. I have tried some of things you mentioned, dillyboy. As you are aware, most things didn't change it and the PC is custom built from my cousin called Anwar.
