Hello, im having problems installing more ram on my new build desktop i have an evga x58 sli mobo and 3x 2gb 6 total corsair xms3 ram cards system runs with one card in but whenever i try to add the other 2 cards the system will not start i think i need to manually configure the bios but dont know how/ what i need to configure them too like i said xms3 corsair 1333mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v "cmx6gx3m3a1333c9" what channel do these run dual or tri? how do i get the system to recognize the other two cards please help

Do you have the motherboard owners manual that would tell you what slots to use? If that is a 1366 socket motherboard then you want to use 1.65v ram.

yes i do have the manual and i do know what slots to install the ram in but when i install more than one card the system wont boot and yes it is the 1366 i guess im wanting to know what values i need to set the bios to manually for voltage frequency timing and all that and how i set those in the bois menu.

also so what your saying is that the cards i have wont work?

so i started puling and playing ie trying different combonations and i have it working now. on of the slots was causing a short think its just bad... any suggestions. but i aslo have 3 1gb cards that i was hoping to use too they are ocz platinum pc3 10666 timing 7-7-7 @1.65v PN:ocz3p1333lv3gk are those two compatible? ocz model and corsair xms3?

i have a total of 8gb plugged into the mobo 3 corsair 2gb @1.5v 9-9-9-24 and 2 ocz 1gb @1.65v 7-7-7. is this a working combination. would have 9 but the last card slot caused boot to fail. any ideas y. also says only 6.99gb ram usable ???? windows 7 64bit. thanks for your comments and soultions
