Dell 3000 with 1gb in it already works fine. Now - 2 sticks 1st) 512 266 2100, 2nd) 512 400 3200 - -Works great, sees 1 gb total. Tried to upgrade to 2gb, 2 identical 1gb 400 3200 stick - beeps, no boot up Tried 512 400 3200 in one slot, 1gb 400 3200 in other - No good beeps no boot Tried 512 266 2100 in one slot, either 1gb 400 3200 in other - Works! Sees 1.5 gb What is the problem and what do i need to get to 2 gb? Every vendor i have talked to says 400 3200 2x1gb should work fine. IT does not. Maybe 2x1gb 266 2100? thanksDell 3000
Maybe the motherboard likes the 266x2100 ram sticks.
