Forum Motherboards & Memory : Memory Different RAM brands

Hey, today I ordered a new graphics card, and I thought to myself, hey, why not upgrading my RAM as well?

So now I have a problem.

I have 2x 2GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz dual channel, PC3-10600 (can someone please explain what this PC3 thing is...?) Samsung.

And I found in a shop near me something that is pretty much the same...

2GB DDR3 @ 1333Mz dual channel, PC3-10600 Kingston.

Will there be a problem if they're exactly the same just that 2 of the slots will be Samsung and the other 2 Kingston?

And please, do explain what this PC3-10600 thing is...

it should be fine at all mixing different brands not an issue.

PC3 means DDR3 model.

FlyinBird,

You shouldn't have any problem, just pair the like modules together. PC3 is just an ID for DDR3, 10600 is the clock speed and timing (CAS latency). I've paired diffent Make RAM with no problems.
