Im going to get an ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 to go with a i5 2500k. Im looking at ram and im kinda confused on what to go with. ..I want to get something from corsair... So what should i get and why? I do plan to OC the i5!

Correct me if im wrong but 1600mhz sounds good. buying the higher mhz ram would only revert down to the 1600mhz speed without the overclock on the board right? but with the cpu overclock wouldn't that raise the ram too so should i just stay with the 1600? im confused :(

Yeah, Corsair is great, 1600MHz is OK with XMP profile, 1.5V.

SUPPORT FOR INTEL XMP
Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) technology provides a robust, profile-based overclocking solution for novice and experienced overclockers - easily overclock your platform by selecting the predefined profile in the BIOS, or manually adjust frequency and timings to extract maximum performance from your system.

And is also low profile, in case of the use of large aftermarket cooler : )
