Hey. I am completely new to the strange world of building my own pc. I am considering buying a budget laptop, but I would much rather prefer to build my own, better pc. I am having trouble choosing a motherboad. I would like it to support at least 4GB of RAM, and a "AMD Phenom II X4 925 Deneb 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor HDX925WFK4DGM - OEM" I am considering a 450W power supply, unless I need a bigger one. I would like it to support a 320 GB hard drive at least, a cd drive, and usb 2.0 ports. I am not sure if this is enough info to decide yet...so sorry. My budget is about $450 for the whole thing.
If all this info is worthless, perhaps you could suggest a list of parts and places to get them for me. I would greatly appreciate it guys (and gals). Thanks to everybody for help

Why don't you check the budget builds section here at Toms.... we'll be able to give you a lot more in that 500$ than you'll be able to squeeze out yourself.

Oh, I didn't know that was here. Thanks a lot! appreciate the help. But just out of curiosity, what importance are psi e and psi slots, and how do I choose the right motherboard for the processor? Sorry to bother, but thanks.
