I bought this computer recently

I have recently upgraded to a new case (antec 902)

and a new video card Geforce GTX 550 TI 1gb

I was wanting to upgrade the motherboard, I did not get a windows disc so I couldnt reinstall windows. Would this be a problem? and hints and steps on how to would help.. Thanks!

You need a windows disc (a legal one)!

And those are in the 250 area... I have a legal version of windows, can't I just order a disc or something?

Nvm I found that Microsoft will let me download windows 7 home premium and burn it to a disc

Look at this thread. It will tell you how to legally DL windows 7. You will still need a key to activate it though.

sandite, you have a legal version of Windows that is tied to your HP motherboard. Downloading Windows is not the problem. The problem is that you need a legal key to use it.

In all likelyhood, the installer in your copy will look for an HP motherboard before it starts the installation process.
