[Solved] TPM

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Asus [Solved] TPM

Are the pin headers for TPM standard or do I need one from the motherboard manufacturer? I have an MSI 785GM-E65 and I'm wondering if I can use this http://accessories.eracks.com/product/tpm-fw3-16/ .

You would be better off using the Mobo manufacturer's TPM

Yeah I saw that one in my searches but they wanted 10.40 for shipping and handling, so thought about using the ASUS one instead. Are they really different?

You'll end up getting getting Asus encryption on the MSI board, so you can pretty much forget data recovery options if anything were to go wrong later on. It will work though.
