Hello, I have just build a new desktop. Installed Windows 7 64x ultimate. Every time i try to play music or do something that takes some processing power or mem it automatically restarts every time. Seems to load slow and feels like im running a p133 lol.. Any suggestions the causes? Jared All the temps in the case are normal. I agree. Restarts generally mean bad RAM, but could also indicate a bad video card.
I've had both cause this situation in the past.
Even without a blue screen, bad RAM can even cause your PC's OS to trigger its shutdown routine at seemingly random moments or black out and restart as if you pushed the reset button.
Either way, running the memtest is a necessity in diagnosing the issue.
