hi there need your opinion.
i have a 1 month old pc, and its freezing 2-3 times about 3hours of use,
i tried everything, i formatted the system, i updated the bios, i installed the latest driver available and compatible,
i fix and cleaned the registry and scan the disk(no errors found) checked my cpu temp its cool at 45c normal use and 67c @ 100%load (i have cpu cooler and 6 chassis fans), (no overclocking), gpu also cool at 39c normal use (standard mode), i am not playing games with my pc, i use it for work (3d rendering and animation) thats why i know gpu is not the prob, but i havent tried the memory check yet, maybe memory but i also thought could be the power supply, maybe its not powerful enough..
whats opinion?

my specs:
-i7 950 ( venomous x cpu cooler)
-intel Dx58OG mboard
-evga gts 450 single graphics card
-24gb ddr3 kingston 1333 (6pcs 4gb each)
-6 chassis led fans
-fsp everest 600w modular

thanks

Try the memory check. Bad ram will cause lock-ups, shut downs, boots and reboots. You have 6 RAM modules. There's a chance one may be bad. Also, make sure your motherboards RAM slots are built for the power draw required by your RAM.

In the early days of X58, there were many RAM kits distributed to operate at speeds higher than 1066, though if you ran them higher than 1066, the voltage requirement is 1.7V which is higher than the max specified voltage on an X58 system of 1.65V. Because the memory controller is integrated with the processor, over-volting your RAM sockets can be detrimental to the processor itself.

Many sets of 2009/2010 Kingston/HyperX RAM required 1.7V to run at higher speeds than 1066. This is outside the max.

My suggestion would be to first, gear down the RAM to 1066 or the 'Auto' and disable the XMP setting if enabled. X58 systems will default to 1066 speed. Make sure your DDR voltage is not set beyond 1.65V or set it to 'Auto' as well.

Then run the RAM check. It may run fine at 1066. If you run at the 1333 speed, the voltage required might be 1.7V. I would advise against doing this.

67C is normal for that CPU with an average (non-stock) cooling system at full load. What are you running on the PC that gets it to 67C if you're not gaming? Is that using Prime95?

thank you very much for the opinion, that was very useful, i will try it, i hope that eliminates the freezing because its driving me nuts.
yes i dont have any games installed in my pc, i use it for a living, i use 3d studio max for 3D rendering of exterior bldg designs because i am an architect, that makes my cpu run as high as 67c temp when i am rendering an image in 3d max. i built a powerful system because i need it for a fast 3d rendering and its really fast but kept freezing 2-3 times a day about 3-4hrs of use. even with just 1 program running, just autocad it will freeze, and what drives me nuts is when i formatted the system and while im installing the softwares it freezes, and sometimes when i connect my portable hard drive to copy some file and while just transferring file it will freeze, really ruins my working time, do you think i dont need a new psu? is fsp 600w just fine?

Run a Memtest86+ and test one stick of ram at a time.
Use mobo ram default settings
http://www.memtest.org/
Any errors indicates a faulty module.

Freezing at various times? I would put money on a RAM issue at this point. 600W is fine.
