There is not one. These CPUs take 2 diffrent socket types. There is no such board.

I believe there were some AMD MB's which would use both DDR2 or DDR3 depending on the CPU.
But I'm not going to spend the next 2 hours looking...

There used to be a motherboard with ddr2 or ddr3(not both) options. It was not a great seller.

Regardless, the price of DDR3 is so cheap, that it is not worthwhile trying to reuse DDR2 ram. In fact, since DDR2 is more expensive, it has a relatively good resale market.

If you are going to buy a new motherboard, you might as well buy a new cpu while you are at it.

The lowly G620 @$70 is a better performer, and you can sell the E8400 on ebay for almost that.

Asus is considered to be a top of the line MB and has a much larger selection than Gigabyte in the 1155 slot category. Just look at you vendors' site under motherboards and pick something that fits your needs and price range. That is, crossfire or SLI, RAM slots, SATA ports, USB 2 and 3 ports, etc.

Actually the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 gets the Tom's Hardware recommended buy for cheap Z68 boards. Asus, Gigabyte, AsRock and MSI all make great boards. Just find the one with the features you want at the price you want.

i couldnt find board with 775 socket together with the I5 socket so i bought new intel I5 2500K cpu with new asus board.
the ddr3 are not expensive but i have no another question, do i need much better power suply if i have a basic 500w now?
does the i5 cpu needs that?

If you do not use a discrete graphics card, a psu of 300w is sufficient, assuming a normal complement of drives, fans, etc.

It is the add on graphics card/s that create the need for more power.

Here is what EVGA recommends for their graphics cards:

GTX550ti needs 400w with 24a on the 12v rails plus one 6-pin PCI-E power lead.

GTX560 needs 450w with 24a on the 12v rails plus two 6-pin PCI-E power leads.

GTX560Ti needs 500w with 30a on the 12v rails plus two 6-pin PCI-E power leads.

GTX570 needs 550w with 38a on the 12v rails plus two 6-pin PCI-E power leads.

GTX580 needs 600w with 42a on the 12v rails plus one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI-E power lead.

GTX590 needs 700w with 50a on the 12v rails plus two 8-pin PCI-E power leads or 4 6-pin power leads.
