I just completed my first system build and would appreciate an opinion as to whether or not a mbo issue is worth going through the rma process.
The issue is minor (at this point) thank goodness. The mbo will not maintain the correct time zone and Gigabyte tech support says it has an unstable timer and to rma it.
What do you experienced system builders think? Is this little problem a possible sign that something else may happen that would be a big problem? Naturally I hate to have to go through the return process and be down for a week or so.
Well you can try replacing the CMOS battery, which is on the board. It's a little disk shaped watch battery. If that's dead, the time / date will not work correctly.
