Well, I've always come here to check when I need to build a computer, but that's not very often. Now I need some help. I've had the Abit IN9-32 max for a long time with a q6600 quad core duo. It was on XP pro for the longest time. I didn't like vista so I went back to XP. But recently I updated to Windows 7. Abit went out of business before windows 7 came out I guess because there's not any drivers for it. So I've been looking all over the place getting each driver component seperately. Got it working with no more of that yellow exclamation point. One trouble that I had was the network cards, but that finally work with some help from other forum members. It work well for the most part unless I do someething out of the ordinary like accessing some settings I don't usually access such as power management or maybe if I'm accessing content on a usb drive trying to copy stuff to or from it it would get a blue screen and reboot. It's getting to a point where it's annoying. I think it's because I don't have all the proper drivers for this board.
So I need a replacement. What is the best motherboard to replace this having same feature that I can buy now, readily available and cheap. I have 4 memory slots filled with 4gb of ram so I'd prefer not having to buy new RAM. I don't care much for expansion slots as long as I have 1 or 2 is good. Don't care if it's mATX as long as it fits in my Antec atx case just fine. At least 4 sata ports and lots of USB ports. I'm having quite a hard time deciding which one that would work with the LGA775, q6600 CPU. Please recommend some that I can buy easily and under 150...preferably under 100, oh and of course have support for windows 7.
