i have a chaintech vnf3-250 socket 64 motherboard and have lost my sound card drivers, how do I get them back to download?

A google search of "chaintech vnf3-250" will give you several sources to download drivers. That is a dated (old) motherboard so driver support may be spotty.

That being said, the motherboard uses fairly generic devices. This Biostar link should work with your on-board sound device:
