Hello All,
Old school overclockophile here. That was many, many moons ago back when we were pushing Bartons and 9800 pros Anyways, this last July I was in need of a new business / gaming machine and wanted to design a system based around a micro ATX board. Nothing crazy... just a fine machine for my needs. For the first time in all my PC days, I ended up with an MSI board, the 890GXM-G65 (have been a die hard asus guy for ages). The 890 had a ton of great features and all in all was exactly what I was looking for.
Current system.... - MSI 890GXM-G65 Mobo - Black socket on 1C firmware / CPU-NB @ 2600 with voltage on auto
- 1100T Clocked to 3.8 / 4Ghz turbo on stock cooler. Multiplier only OC'ed
- 8gb Corsair XMS3 PC2000 / CMX8GX3M2A2000C9 1:4 Ratio 8 8 8 16 24 1T (1B firmware lets me run 7 7 7 16 1T but not 1C firmware)
- Corsair Force GT 120GB OS drive (MB/s Missile boots windows 7 from power on to surfing in 19 seconds)
- Dual 2TB Samsung 204UI storage drives.
- XFX 2gb 6950 / HD-695X-CDDC OC'ed via afterburner to 925 / 1475
- Seasonic SS-560KM Gold cert, modular PS
- LG Black Super Multi SATA WH12LS30 Blu-Ray Drive
- E-MU 0204 External USB Sound Card Thingus
- InWin BR665 Micro ATX case
Back to the topic, I had not seen an owners thread on here. I really dig this board even though it is nothing special and lacking in certain areas... for what it is (micro atx), it is a DARN fine board. I do not know of an AMD Micro ATX board that can out feature it really. Any other owners on here? Feel free to post up! So far, rock solid since July 2011!
Again, nothing special, but she has it where it counts as a business / light to medium gaming PC. Handles everything I throw at it. For a cheap case, the BR665 is AWESOME. Love In-Win cases.
