Can A74ML-K support Phenom II X4 960T Zosma CPU?

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Foxconn Can A74ML-K support Phenom II X4 960T Zosma CPU?

Hello!

I will try to summarize my problem, recently my old motherboard died, so I bought the cheapest motherboard I could find for a replacement and I did for a whopping $35 on newegg. The motherboard I got was the A74ML-K. Now for the holidays I decided to upgrade my cpu to play skyrim a little smoother. I thought I was in the clear with the Phenom II X4 960T Zosma CPU because it seemed to fit all the specifications perfectly without breaking the 95watt limit. Guess I should have checked out a supported cpu list...

After waiting a week to get it in the mail I discovered after it's not supported even though its a Phenom II. It looks like my motherboard is already up-to-date, or on a higher version than what is on the foxconn website. The error I get from the bios is this:

DCT0 = 800 MHz, DCT1 = 800 MHz

....

CPU mismatch detected!
Fatal Error... System Halted.

Is there anything I can do with this motherboard to make this CPU work? should I just upgrade to a motherboard that specifically supports my Zosma CPU? because the CPU is a nice one and the motherboard is kind of cheap... or return the CPU itself? I'm sorry if my thread is a lot to read. I just want to make myself clear. Any suggestions are welcome thanks!
