How to build a Network-Document-Server ?

Using fast Scanner with feeder to scan, then store into HDD/Document Server to send out immed via Emal or just temp. store into Docus.-Server ( for later usage....)

My ideal document server should be : AXIS -7000 ( from Axis Communication ) + storage¡Kas a standalone small unit with very simple operation : just put in email address, or add on email subject and push ¡§ SEND ¡§ button¡K.that is !

Of course, PC will do but that require lot of Clicks, turn-on, Win DOS,¡K.so on.. What I need is just a simple, very simple machine working together with Scanner + Doc software ..

This unit should also has USB port to import or export data, storage inf., transfer files to other devices, LAN & Dial-up modem internet connection.

Willing to reward few HUNDRED US$ for anyone who can help to build this device.

Special note to Jihggs : cannot contact via your hotmail ? If you are inbterested in this subject, pls send me your new email address.

Despite the fact that the way you wrote down your idea is almost completly incomprehensible I think I understand what you are asking for. Hooking up such a device with such capabilities is not hard, having said features is not hard... that said the had part is programing, unfortanetly there are not too many ways around windows, due to the fact that most products out there are geared towards windows, and thus designed to work with them. There are other OS out there but all are probably going to require more than you want. What you are wanting is not impossible. As a matter of fact it already exist, in bits and pieces. That said... you don't need someone to build you a unit to do this, you need to find the software that will do this, There are many programs out there the give you the option of haveing documents on hand that can be faxed back, or e-mailed back, or even faxed/emailed to multiple clients all in one shot. So what I'm saying is save your money because if I were to take you up on your idea I would do research and find which programs do all the features you want and then take your money for that info. Be smart go to Office Depot or someplace like that, I have seen said products on their shelves several times.

Just Because You Get An Idea Don't Mean You're The First

I can't waite to have Patience!!!!
