Word :    Username :

Hello,

I recently built-up my server in this configuration:

motherboard: SuperMicro X9SCA-F
processor: Intel Xeon E3-1220
memory: 1x Kingston 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECC CL9 (KVR1333D3LD4R9S/8GEC)

After turn-of power I get memory error (5 short beeps + 1 long beep)

I already tried switch memory module into another slots = same problem.

Have somebody any advice have fix this issue ?

Is that memory module certified by SuperMicro for your motherboard? Kingston list the KVR1333D3E9SK2/16G kit (2 modules), but not the single module that you have.

I think there is another problem. Xeon E3 memory controller doesn't support registered/buffered ECC memory. Only un-bufferred ECC memory.

You should order the KVR1333D3E9SK2/16G kit, but finding it might be a challenge. Your motherboard is on the list: http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/co [...] Click+Here

I already ordered 1x KVR1333D3E9SK2/8G. Can be a problem 1 memory module only with my configuration, guys?

That motherboard supports a single module, e.g., MEM-DR310L-CL02-EU13 or KVR1333D3S8E9S/2GEC. That info also is on page 2-11 of the manual.

Yes, that is true. I carefully readed this page and I don't see any information that motherboard doesn't support single memory module configuration. There is only information that using modules in pair will improve memory performance. I also assume that my ordered module KVR1333D3E9SK2/8G should work, is it correct ?

It's on the list of supported motherboards.
