I need recommendations on a half height low profile PCI sound card under $50 (cheaper is better LOL) preferably 24 bit.
I use a Creative 4.1 surround sound so I would prefer Creative EAX compatible.

Best bet is probably the ASUS Xonar DS:

IF you REALLY need cheap, you can go the Xonar DG route:

I believe the Xonar D1 was also low-profile, but I think most sites are long out of stock, as the DX (PCI-E) has superceeded it...

gamerk316 - those are good selections but more geared for a gamer
while I am more of a mult media guy
