Forum Motherboards & Memory : Chaintech Usb 3.0 heaer to 2 usb 3.0

Hi... all thanks for reading my question...

So I bought a thermaltake level 10 gt and it came with front usb 3.0 20 pin header.

But my motherboard doesn't support that. (I have asus P8p67 ws revolution)

Is there a converter from 20 pin to 2 usb 3.0 or PCI card that supports 20 pin header so that i can use front usb 3.0?

The speeds are different so you cannot convert usb 2.0 to usb 3.0

Your best bet is to run a pass through your case and connect that usb 3.0 front port to a usb 3.0 I/O port.

Don't have the hardware myself, but from spec sheet, the mobo has 20 pin to connect to your chassis's panel (next to the last pcie?). Just connect the front panel to it.

i'm not trying to convert from 2.0 to 3.0.

level 10 gt comes with front usb 3.0 header which i can't find where to fit this in.

Ok, I have a look at the picture of the mobo. Look like it is a 9 pin header, not 20 pin as claimed on the specification. I assume you got the case and mobo because you read that they are both 20 pin. Probably get another board if the specification is not as advertised. However, it is a good idea for someone with this hardware to confirm that there is only 9 pin header before returning.
