but as per best of my knowledge Z68 Motherboards doesn't have xmp profile

The Sandy Bridge CPUs only officially support 1066/1333 RAM.

All good P67 and Z68 boards offer additional RAM speed settings in the BIOS: 1600, 1866, and 2133. Those settings work fine as long as the RAM you purchase can run at the selected speed.

The price/performance sweet spot for Sandy Bridge systems is 1600.

Even though my processor ( intel i5 2500k ) will support Ram Speed upto Max DDR3 1333 MHZ, but if my motherboard support Ram 1600 MHZ that means even then my new DDR3 1600 MHZ ram will work fine ( and will operate at speed 1600 MHZ )

I have the exact same processor and am running G.Skill DDR3-1600 Ripjaws on a H67 Gigabyte board. After almost 4 months of the system running great, it all the sudden went into a power cycling mode. On for 2 seconds, off for 2 then back on. Rinse and repeat until the power was shut off.

I tested the PSU and that wasn't the issue (output voltages were fine and tried a different one). Anyways, it must be the motherboard or processor right? Well, after calling Intel and talking with their support, the tech told me that running equipment outside of their suggested guidelines violates their warranty. So, long story short.. I'm RMA'ing my mobo and will have to test it once I get it replaced. If the processor was in fact bad (because of running 1600 speed ram on a processor that only supports 1066/1333) I may be out of luck to get a new one because of it.

But I dont work hyper-v on server 2008 r2 and This machine wasn't work 1600 mhz mode.İts work 1333 mode. Where is the problem?

I have that motherboard to with ripjaw 1600mhz ram. I found my system would reboot at incredibly random intervals doing incredibly different things. After much troubleshooting i TOLD my motherboard to set Ram to run at 1333mhz and the system is now completely stable. I recently saw the spec for the CPU on intels website as opposed to the sellers website (who are overclocking mad and will tell u can run at 20 million mhz) and I was utterly dismayed to realise technically i had been overclocking. No wonder my ystemwasnt stable, and who really needs to overclock these modern incredibly powerful systems.
I am strongly considering buying another 8gb of 1333mhz ram so the mobo will alway default to that supported speed (I recently had one random crash that set the bios back to 1600mhz again and problems all over...etc) Anyway i have a system i love now thats stable. But I had to really troubleshoot to get it that way.

I built my comp and i have
mobo-p8p67evo
i5 2500 OC 4.3
16G of vengeance DDR3 1600 running at 1638
evga 570HD
munhkin 240g SSD
h100 watercooled
collermaster HAF 322 case

and i never had a problem and i built it over 6mths ago
