So I am on my 3rd pc build for donation . My question, Is there a advantage or dis-advantage between a atx and micro boards ? Here are the boards in question:
GIGABYTE GA-880GM-UD2H AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

I am trying to build a bottom gamer/office. All builds are under $500.00 using the Gigabyte mobo as a starting point. I also use a tri-core opened to a quad. I realize the atx board is larger but do I really need it ? Using on board video .

No, you don't need ATX, it's just handy to have the room. Some mATX boards and ATX boards have the same features - but not many. Makers can put more options on a ATX, and, airflow is better when OCing.
My budget builds are OCd stable so I can get the most bang/buck.
If you are asking an opinion on the board choice; I would definitely get the ATX GA-880GA-UD3H. The SATA 3 and RAID options future-proof it better and it has USB 3.0. $12 well spent if you ask me.

I agree with NWO. I have built systems from both. The extra room of an ATX board, even if configured the same, makes life a lot easier.
