i m able to connect to internet thru the local network(LAN) but i m unable to connect other computers on the network when i open my network places or my workgroup computers i m unable to find even my computer in it

Have you turned off firewalls ?
And have you set up sharing on the relevant folders ?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

1- Turned off firewall
2- If you are in a domain, make you sire that all the PC are joined to the domain.
3- If you are not in a domain, you need create a home network without domain.
