Can RAID 1 disks be separated, returned to normal?

Forum Storage : NAS/RAID Can RAID 1 disks be separated, returned to normal?

Hello,

I've had a RAID 1 in my system. For various reasons, I no longer require it. Can the two disks be separated? I want one of them to continue with the same set of data as normal, and then I will delete the data on the second disk and begin to use it for other data.
