Hello

I am wondering if the Seagate Barracuda 7200.12ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 16MB Sata 6.0Gb drive is good for gaming and amateur video editing?

Yes the 7200.12 series is considered a performance drive. It is compareable to the Western Digital Black series or the Samsung Spinpoint F3 series.

I had a 7200.12 before I roasted it. It worked very well - pretty fast and SILENT.
