I am installing a new hardrive on my dads computer a WD black 2TB drive I have yet to use a hard drive this big ever before and am wondering how I should partition it.

Also he plan on up loading a lot of old videos on to the computer I am considering not partitioning it at all is this a good idea?

I have not partition a hardrive is over 10 years so if there is anything I should really know that is new would be much appreciated.

I would vote for not partitioning, no real advantage and just more places to search to find stored data.

Unless you plan to install an OS on it don't worry about partitions. No real advantage unless you need them for a specific task, which just storing files wouldn't require a new partition.
