I wasn't exactly sure where to post this question. I have an OEM copy of Windows 7 and I am going to sell my PC. I wan't to clear my hard drive completely for the next person to have it. If I clear my hard drive completely (OS included) will I still be able to restore it or do I have to beg Microsoft for another one?

If the OEM came with the same rig, you can sell it off and let the other guy use the same copy. Although MS didn't want it to function that way, but, the rig is attached to that copy of the OS and vice versa.
For your new rig, you'll need to buy another OS and install that.

This is a bit touchy. Black and white law says the OEM win7 is tied to the motherboard in which it was first activated. This means if you sell it, you need to include the price of win7 with it as thats where the copy of windows is legally supposed to go.
Grey law says you can format it and sell it without an OS. With new build just call MS and tell them that your mobo died and this is the replacement. It will legally still be on one computer, but as an OEM its supposed to be on the one you sell.
