Help, i am just to swap over a broken hardrive with a new one in my Advent Laptop.

Can anyone give me some insight regarding how to make sure the hardrive is recognised in the bios, and how to reinstall windows 7 home edition 32bit.(i am downloadin the windows ISO files from http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/w/microsoft_os/3316.aspx. I already have my old product key.

Any tips or tricks would be very helpful.

Thanks lads

first step is to burn the ISO
i hope you know how to do that
after having a windows disc handy you can start working on the laptop
unplug from the power and take out the battery
look for the hard drive compartment, take out the screws.
replace the hard drives
put it all together how it was
plug the laptop to power
turn it on
read for onscreen display for boot options (F10, del key, it depends with manufacturer)
boot from the cd
follow the guide
format the entire disk
install the os!

My laptop wont let me connect to the internet. It says no network adapter installed, so i cant log on to the net through wireless or enternet to update to the newest drivers.. any suggestions
