I have this optical drive installed in my Windows 7 PC, and I can't burn DVDs. (Lite-On 24x DVD Burner SATA iHAS 124-04). Windows seems to see it as a CD player only. Been online for days trying for a fix. I'm out of time. Here's the system that it resides in: http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 2903.html] Any help would be appreciated.
Update: BIOS sees it...but as a CD drive only. Tried to merely play a DVD on it. Won't play DVDs. Windows Explorer will see the files on the DVD, but won't run the in Media Player.
Update: When I load a blank DVD into the drive, Windows Explorer sees it, but show an error message stating "Windows can't read the disc in Drive D:"
Does it work if you stick a CD in it?
