I have this optical drive installed in my Windows 7 PC, and I can't burn DVDs. (Lite-On 24x DVD Burner SATA iHAS 124-04).

Windows seems to see it as a CD player only. Been online for days trying for a fix. I'm out of time.

Here's the system that it resides in:

Any help would be appreciated.

Update:

BIOS sees it...but as a CD drive only.

Tried to merely play a DVD on it. Won't play DVDs. Windows Explorer will see the files on the DVD, but won't run the in Media Player.

Update:

When I load a blank DVD into the drive, Windows Explorer sees it, but show an error message stating "Windows can't read the disc in Drive D:"

Does it work if you stick a CD in it?
