all uk sites advertise it as sata 6gb/s 64mb cache

however when i typed the manufacturer code in google and followed link to seagate (first hit) they say it is only 32 mb cache with no 64 mb option???

so is it defintaely

You must have typed the code in incorrectly. On Seagate's website it shows that that model has 64MB of cache.

your right what i did was run a search at seagate.com and followed first link and sinmce all other specs were the same i assumed sellers where wrong but it as the link as the model number was ST31000524AS

tried another link and found the right one. cheers pkus followed your link

this is all beacuase aria.com told me the overclockers version of this was 32mb so i had to check arghh!
