Hello,
hi...plz. someone help me
2 drives of my hard disk were formatted automatically , i did not formatted manually, when i was installing window 7 in other drive while window xp2 is running easily in c drive.How can i get back my lost data ?

use some recovery tool
Power data recovery is a good tool for such loss of data
data will only be recovered if you din't overwrite it with new data

Try Recuva, although if you over-wrote the data in the drive you will get either nothing back or corrupted files that won't open.

It's one thing to recover files from a damaged or nonresponding drive but when you format a drive you overwrite the data that is on there so that you can put new data on it. So by formating you have lost what data was on the hdd.

Actually, a simple format does not "overwrite" the data. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_ [...] atted_disk

In this case though he may have combined formatting with installing Windows 7 in the same space, which could have wiped the old data pretty well.
