hello

i'm using rather old casing and my casing has 3 optical drive bays, 4 3.5 inch desktop hard drive bays and 2 floppy drive bays (i wish u could remember what's floppy drive ;) )

i want to order a SSD online and i don't have any 3.5 inch mounting bracket, so can i install the SSD into the floppy drive bay.

thanks

You may have to drill holes, but it's doable. You could also order appropriate 3.5" mounting brackets.

the flopy bay alredy have holes for screw. i'm not sure that, the hole will fit with that of ssd. but i can apply the hole if i need

i just want to know, will the ssd fit in that place without any loose space horizontally so that it don't move even i move or lift the case.

thanks

It won't move more than a floppy if it's screwed in properly.

i want to know is both sides of the ssd fit the bay or is there any gap on the side of the ssd?

if anybody have ssd or laptop hard drive spare, plz check with the floppy bay of your casing, please.

thanks to all

just checked in my work PC.

there would be a 1.5cm gap either side of the SSD as a floppy drive is also a 3.5"

Laptop HDD / SSD = ~70mm Wide
Floppy Drive / HDD = ~105mm Wide
