Can RAID motherboard leads be moved to different connectors

Forum Storage : NAS/RAID Can RAID motherboard leads be moved to different connectors

Hello,
I have 2 SATA H/Ds set as a RAID 1 assembly connected to the Intel controller on my ASUS m/b which has 6 SATA connectors. My simple question is: Will changing the 2 SATA sockets currently used for 2 of the other 4 be possible or will it destroy the RAID assembly? Thanks
