Hi, I just bought a P8P67 LX motherboard and a pair of Seagate HDD to create a RAID 1 setup. The problem is that its performance is barely 40MB/s, when using one disk single is 90MB/s. I'm using W7 x64 SP1 and the latest drivers. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How is the RAID set up in your BIOS? Did you let it finish building the mirror before you tested the speed?

I installed W7 in the newly created array, so I don't think it was necessary. Am I right?

OK, so you created the hardware array with two new drives in your BIOS, then you installed Windows 7?

And now the speed (is it read or write?) is lower than with one drive?

Yep, exactly that.

Write speeds are correct, with more than 100mb/s, but read speeds are about 25mb/s.

I already RMA it, so it is their problem now. hahahaha.

Thanks for you attention, I'll let you know what happened. :)

So... Apparently the Intel drivers are very shitty... The RMA guy tried different combinatios of motherboards and disk drives and all of them were very slow.
After that he tried installing Marvell drivers and it seems it is working fast now.
I'll test it and let you know.
