How to remove write protection on disk

i took out the memory card from a kodak digital camera and put it in a card reader then put it in the usb port on my laptop, but when i tried to delete a file in the memory card, a message pops up saying "this disc is write protected. remove the write protection or use another disc" how can i remove the write protection?

Register or log in to remove.

there should be a switch on the side of the memory card... switch it to 'unlocked'. Or right-click on the memory stick and go to 'Properties'. Check the settings. If you want, you should be able to delete the pictures using the camera... put the stick back in the camera and select 'delete' or 'delete all'.
