Hello

I have a Sony VAIO Laptop and I recently bought some DVD +R double layer 8.5 GB blank disk 8x speed, but for some reason my writer does not see them at all, but see them in the computer section listed as a DVD RW. So when I tried to burn it it would not do nothing and have tried several programs same problem, the DVD has no problem reading and writing the regular DVD R. I also did check that my DVD Writer can use the disks so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Dale

Are you sure that your burner can burn single sided Dual layer disk? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvd#Technical_information
