I have windows xp and my cd rom wont recognize blank cd's or dvd's. Is there an update I missed?

Register or log in to remove.

If it's really a CDROM then it won't work with blank CDs or any kind of DVD. You need a burner to burn blank CDs (CD-ROM = CD-Read Only Memory, which is NOT a burner). And you need a DVD or BluRay drive to be able to read DVDs.
