I recently bought an ASUS BW-12B1ST and it won't play any blu-rays.

It has no issues playing DVD's or burning anything. It can read a blu-ray discs but it will only open up files. I've been searching for answers but maybe I'm trying way to hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any bluray player software? You need a program that can play bluray, and I don't think that Windows Media Player does it.

Yeah, problem solved I guess. Downloaded PowerDVD because i thought with blu-rays being out for so long windows or basic players would already be able to handle it. Guess I was wrong...

I strongly dislike PowerDVD, annoying interface and I'm not sure if it's true for all Blu-Rays but my X-Men Begins blu-ray had some major artifact problems.
