Has anyone here looked into using the Peltier Effect to cool their PC?

Like the title says, I was completely unaware of this effect until I came across it on a google quest.

Has anyone tried adapting it for any cooling apparatus?

there was some articles about it being used as a cooler but not sure if it was emplemented .. in a cooler .. it would be a different way to go about it.. ive also wondered similar things .. like why not use an all silver block to spread the heat as its thermal transmission capacity is far greater than copper and aluminum.. albeit it would be exspensive but wouldnt it make more sense .. especially with a water cooler setup ...

  3. TEC's aren't used that much anymore, but they were common 5-7 years ago while using a waterblock on CPUs and GPUs.
