Hey,

If I disable one before enabling the other, Is it OK to use _BOTH_ on-board sound and my Audigy 2 pci card?

If you are wondering why ... I'd like to utilize my Mobo's toslink out for DTS sound while watching Blurays on the TV.

I have another analog speaker system hooked up to the Audigy 2 card for gaming.

Yes, it will work just fine.
You should not even have to disable either of the sound devices.
Just go into the Sound options in the control panel and switch your default device as needed.
