Hi i have tried running my ram at 1600 and tweaked volt settings for the ram and the cpu and i tweaked the timeings as well but when i restart the pc i get a voltage message on the black screen so i have to restart and sometimes its there and sometimes its not but it will load up perfect when the message is not there but then it crashes in games so what am i doing wrong im new to this tweaking stuff so can anyone help me and post the perfect bios,voltage and memory settings for my motherboard thanks

The memory controller on Phenom 2 can be rather picky and doesn't like being pushed over 1333 on the ram unless you loosen up the timings to 9.9.9.24 then it might run at 1600 but performance won't improve much compared to your existing timings at your current clocks. The trick is to get the highest possible stable clock with the best possible timings for the most bandwidth but usually that doesn't work out.

9.9.9.24 for 1600 or just stay with 7.7.7.24 for 1333 but you can try 7.7.7.19 and get a little boost.

thanks for the reply yes i will try those settings and today i reset the bios and started again now ive got it at 1600 but left everything else on auto so far so good the clocks on auto settings in bios and cpuz are

bank cycle time-40
command rate-2t

Those settings are well horrible. Many 1600 kits are now 9.9.9.24.
