Save money and get the 960T if you plan on sticking with AMD (if you can find a 955-980 phenom ii that may be an option too), otherwise get an i5 2500k, the best price performance chip for gaming.

Depends, if your sticking with older games or a lower video card, then not really. If your not planning on overclocking or setting the system up with the proper components, then not really. But if you do your research and properly set up the system and overclock it for the newer game titles, then the difference between the 8120 and the 2500k are minimal.
