Hi all, looking to get a heat sink for my cpu. I have the following specs:

CoolerMaster HAF 922 Case
Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3
Intel core i5-2500K
Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module

I'm currently looking at:

Corsair Cooling Air Series A70 HIGH-PERFORMANCE DUAL-FAN CPU Cooler
@ $22.49 (PM @ ME 25% on NCIX sales price)

or

CoolerMaster 212 Hyper 212 Evo Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink
@ $28.74 (PM @ ME 25% on NCIX sales price)

Now I've heard that for best bang for buck CoolerMaster should be the way to go, but now since A70 is on sale, actually cheaper than 212 EVO, would that be a better pick? I've also heard that the A70 does general a bit more noise than the 212 EVO. Anybody have any takes comparing these 2 heat sink? Anyone can introduce me the "push and pull" feature?

I will pick up either one of them tomorrow!! Thanks!

They're both good coolers.
I replaced a 212+ with an A70 in one of my rigs.
The A70 with the line resistors and two fans is quieter then a 212+ with one stock fan.
CM coolers are easier to install though.
Pricematch the EVO = Hehe!

You can't make a bad choice with either cooler.
Both come with good paste.
Advantage CM = comes with a tube for @4 installs.
Corsair = packet for one time install.

I also have a 922 and a 2500k. I run the hyper 212plus and I love it. Assuming the evo is very similar to the plus (which it is), It is dead quiet and keeps the cores wonderfully cool. I can run folding at home for days straight and the highest temp i have ever hit was 51 degrees celsius.
Without having tried an A70, I'd go with eh evo, simply because I have a nearly identical rig, and it is completely quiet and cool.

Thanks for the replies!

Originally I'm more favorable towards the 212 EVO, but with A70 on sale and I can get a price match for about $22ish + tax, the A70 is looking really good as well.... comparing the 212 EVO @ $35 + tax..

either way they will both be way better coolers than stock oem ones :)
