It's a Newegg review big surprise.
But i know that cooler is all you need for a 2500k @4.5ghz.
So go ahead and spend $80+ on a cooler you don't need for a 95W cpu.

The CM Hyper 212 series is actually quite good; even though it's ~$30-50, it's not "dinky" by any stretch of the imagination.

Keep in mind that he probably hit 4.5 GHz with little to no increase in the VCore, so I wouldn't be surprising if his temps were low (maybe not that low). Unless he lists an ambient temp, there's no telling if 41C is true or not because ambients will make all the difference.

My room is ~50-60F at all times, so my i5 never broke 40C and my GPU sits at 35C while running Furmark's burn test. Everything idles at ~20-22C.

some of you guys are unbelievable, you're sensitive because i called a heatsink dinky? it's dinky relative to load temps of 40c with an overclocked cpu.

I don't know what you're looking for. I feel like we answered the question appropriately.

You implied that it's a bad cooler and those temps are completely unbelievable.

We're saying it's actually a very good cooler, and under the right circumstances those temps are completely possible.

who is we? i'm going to exercise restraint here, but you want to discuss it further come see me in north wales 19454 we can talk about it a little more with your passive aggressive tone. in the context of keeping an overclocked sb at 40load, it is dinky, in the context of being an overall good cooler, it's fine. learn to discern before you get your panties all tangled up next time.
