When I'm seeing people with the latex gloves on while handling their CPU Heatsink? is this dramatic or what? I will now perform triple bypass surgery on my Noctua. does it serve a purpose?

The only reason I can think of would be to avoid getting oil from their skin on the heatsink where it contacts the CPU, If you not going to touch the plate then no gloves.
+1 on them overdoining things.

I'm going to say it depends on what you want to do. If you are in some championship OCing tourny, then anything that can help should be done. For us home users we could probably lick/spit on our CPUs/HSFs and still be ok. More so if its going to be kept stock. I laugh a bit when I see people arguing over AS5 or IC Diamond or ??? Difference at best will be around 5-7c? So 32c instead of 37? For most of us it doesn't make any difference.

if not touching the vents on a noctua with my skin will make a 5 degree difference, then i'll wear the porn gloves.
