Hi

Hope this is the right place for this

I'm currently building a new sytem and cam across this
http://www.digital-fusion.co.uk/In [...] f=13704051
Titanium Fatal1ty Pro for £57.77, I should have known better but it was too good to be true.

after I ordered I had a call from a representative of the company to say it was not a Titanium card at that price and it was going to cost more for them to send the card, I asked how much would it be and he said £190. That seemed a little high and i said cancel it I can get it cheaper elsewhere, he then siad well thats a price for a fatal1ty champion if you only want the pro it would be £109 after that i just flat refused anything he said and demanded a refund of my money. Funnily enough that was 5 days ago and the advert is still up on google shopping and their website.

I may be wrong about these guys but to advertise the details of a product and a picture of it when they are selling a standard soundblaster at that price and to be aware and still advertising it says something about the people also the tactic of trying to sell the champion card and pass it off as a pro card price well lets say I'm not shoping their again and I have forwarded the information to the office of fair trading who are looking into it

Like I said at the start hope this is the right place, and hope it might be of help to others building their systems.

Get in touch with the ASA and let them know, it shouldn't cost you anything.

Anyone buying anything branded 'fatalonety' - or, in fact, anything branded using 'leet' or someone famous' name, for that matter - deserves whatever they get.

Seriously. The standard Soundblaster card is as good, has one or two less features that no sane man would want to use anyway, and costs far less than the 'fatalonety' version.

However - some outfit selling the standard Soundblaster card at the 'fatalonety' edition's price, yeah, that's adding injury to insult, so take them to the relevant authorities and close 'em down. They deserve no less.

If google serve up the add then let them know. For a bunch of well indexed evil they are actually very good in sorting that sort of thing.

I prefer to think of Google as 'amoral' rather than outright evil.

** Looks up from reading his copy of 'Greggs Girls - Flowery Babs Special' **

Amoral, you mean like the one to be learnt about a fool and his beloveds respect for his credit limit?

Yet everyone buys the one about the overcompensating middle aged man that's not getting much more than the occasional brush past of mid Atlantic air crew arse. [/Freud]

Especially if someone falls out the plane mid-flight.
