Forum Overclocking : Intel 2600k on BIOS multiplier x45 but on CPUZ 100% LOAD just x42 WHY???

The problem:
Its simple, on my mobo bios dp67bg i set the 4 cores with multiplier 45 with bclk 100 and 1.35 vcore but when im testing the system with prime95 i only see a multiplier x42 with bclk 99.8 and 4.190 at load 100% on CPUZ = 4.2ghz. Why??? i want 4.5ghz please help me guys!!

PS: when i return to the BIOS the 45 multiplier is still there, im so confused.

CPU: i7 2600k
MOBO: DP75BG B3, VERSION 1900
PSU: SUPER TALENT 700W
RAM: 1 X 4GB 1333 KINGSTON
COOLER: ANTEC KUHLER 920

What happens when you set the multi to 46 or 44? I'm not familiar with that board personally, but I have used boards with bugged multis.

well i didnt set other multipliers but i can tell ya that when i use intel extreme tuning utility (manual) with the same x45 multi is the same: CPUZ x42

 

ill be in my home in 30 min so i can try x46
