I Just ran Prime 95 for 30 minutes and from idle here are my temps:
Idle:
Prime 95 for 30 Minutes:
After about the first 10-15 minutes it seemed like my temps stabilized and didn't change at most +/- 1-2 degrees.
I ordered a Cooler Master 212 Evo yesterday. When I get it i will run the same tests and report back with my temp differences!
I also have a 1090t, and have a corsair a70 on the way in the mail. I'll make sure to run the same test with the same room temp and we will see how they stack up! (of course since the systems aren't the same it won't be that accurate a comparison, but I feel like it none the less if you don't mind)
Yes feel free. If anyone wants to compare temps do so here.
I have received my new cooler today and so far I am very impressed. From the actual structure of it being well built and doesn't feel cheap at all, the temps are great!
Here is my idle temp:
Heres after running prime 95 for 30 minutes under a full load:
Just from these tests I am overall impressed so far. Keep in mind the room temperature was also around the same as in the original test.
Your temps were a bit better than mine. Installing the A70 was a bit of a hassle thanks to the 'mounting arm', which I didn't like the design of at all. After fastening it, I had to struggle to get the fans mounted and the heatsink got a bit nudged so perhaps the thermal paste is not optimal right now. None the less, it was a solid improvement with 20C less under load. Like you I had the temp in the room at 20C

Now for some mild overclocking, and then next week improve the fan setup and try re-seating the heatsink.
